About atp nutrition

Founded in 2003, atp nutrition offers individualized nutrition coaching programs to optimize the eating habits of the most promising Canadian athletes. Realizing the benefits of nutrition coaching, the atp nutrition lifestyle division was launched in 2008 to extend beyond elite athletes. Programs are individualized to reach clients who have a variety of goals and to fit within their lifestyle

Mélanie Olivier, PDt. M.Sc.
president, dietititan-nutritionist

Mélanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and a master's degree in sports nutrition. She embarked on the adventure with atp nutrition when she launched the company in 2003. Her career has allowed her to accompany many elite, amateur and professional athletes on their path to achieving excellence.
She shares her passion with the team of nutritionists at atp nutrition and has worked across the country with many national teams. Her expertise has led her to become the first nutritionist in the country to be part of the Canadian Olympic team at the Winter Olympics of 2006. Adventure that has continued for the Summer Games in Beijing in 2008 and in Vancouver 2010!
 
An athlete in alpine skiing for many years and participating in the first sport-etude programs, she has also been a coach and organizer of many sports events.

 

Pearle Nerenberg, PDt. M.Sc.A

Pearle specializes in working with elite hockey players on sports nutrition programs. She holds a Masters of Science in human nutritional sciences from McGill University, a Bachelor of Science  in nutritional science from Cornell University, and a personal training certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.   Her background as an NCAA hockey player speaks to her success in improving the performance of her hockey playing clientele. Pearle also transfers her knowledge of performance nutrition to everyday nutrition programs to see clients successfully through endurance sport nutrition programs, weight loss programs, and allergy and intolerance discovery programs. Pearle motivates her clients with a combination of compassion, empathy and discipline. Always discovering new food products, and personally committed to sustainable eating, Pearle is the perfect match for ‘foodies’ or those looking to try new things.

Kate Comeau, PDt. M.Sc.

Kate specializes in working with clients to discover and manage their food allergies and intolerances. She holds a Masters of Science in human nutritional sciences from McGill University and a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and dietetics from Acadia University located in her home province of Nova Scotia. Her research background in sports nutrition and pediatric endocrinology set the ground work for her practice where she ensures that her clients profit from the most up-to-date information. With a lighthearted, motivating personality, Kate also coaches clients through weight loss and diabetes management programs. She excels at working with children and adolescents and those who are young at heart.

“My love of science has taught me that there is more than one solution to every problem. My love of cooking and sport has taught me that making mistakes can be the best way to learn. Combined, these lessons inspire my work with ATP;  helping clients to look at all sides of challenge, and finding what is right for them. Catherine Naulleau, PDt. M.Sc.

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Science in sports nutrition from the University of Montreal. She is accredited by the Coaching Association of Canada and the Centre National Multisport.  She rowed at an elite level for several years before making the jump to competitive road cycling. Catherine is the nutritionist for several national teams including short track speed skating, judo, synchronized swimming, paralympic cycling & rowing, and she counsels many carded Canadian athletes from the Montreal region. She specializes in endurance sports, from beginners to professionals and weight category sports, for all the challenges they bring. Catherine is known by her colleagues to be a compassionate counselor, excellent with emotional eaters, and able to show people that there are really no bad foods.

Josiane, a specialist in sports nutrition, received her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science both in sports nutrition from the University of Montreal. She is accredited by the Coaching Association of Canada and the Centre National Multisport, and works with many athletes and teams of all levels: from sports-études programs to elite caliber athletes. She offers programs for endurance sports, weight gain or weight loss including help with eating disorders, and artistic sport programs. Josiane coaches tri-athletes, cyclists, swimmers, runners, mountain bikers, hockey players, baseball players, football players, figure skaters … and she passionately coaches non-athletes to attain health goals and better lifestyle habits. Josiane’s colleagues consistently exclaim “Josiane’s personality is magnetic! Her enthusiasm and passion for nutrition are an inspiration to us all. And, her creative, concrete approach makes complicated nutrition concepts easy for anyone. ”   
“I am a curious person always learning and always looking for a challenge! The diversity of projects I work on, the people I work with and the challenge of adapting my coaching is what impassions me. My goal is to personalize my approach and to transfer what I know in an exciting way that has a lasting impact on my client’s nutrition habits. Eating is innate, eating for performance is learned! Stephanie Jamain, PDt.

Stephanie, our maternal and infant specialist holds a Bachelor of Science in dietetics and nutritional sciences from McGill University and a personal training certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She works primarily with women during all stages of pregnancy, including pre-pregnancy preparation, guidance through each trimester, breastfeeding, post-pregnancy weight loss and infant nutrition. Stephanie also works with recreational athletes to improve their energy levels and to bring pleasure to their activities. Stephanie’s colleagues see her as an inspiration and a reliable coach who guides her clients to achieve amazing results.
 
Being the daughter of an international culinary chef, my passion for food, health and nutrition started at a young age. My inner “foodie” and active lifestyle drive my desire to teach and motivate my clients to be their healthiest, at any stage of the lifecycle, through both nutrition and exercise.”
 
 

Anne Marie Villeneuve, PDt. M.Sc (candidate)

Anne-Marie, our artistic sport specialist, holds a Bachelor of Science in nutrition from the Université Laval as well as a certificate in physical activity from the Université du Québec, Chicoutimi. She is currently completing her Master of Science in Sports Nutrition at the the Université de Montréal. Anne-Marie was an elite gymnast for many years, as well as a coach and a judge. She has also been involved in the world of aquatics for the past 10 years as a swimmer and diver and becoming a swim coach.   Over the past several years, she has worked with a diverse clientele (diabetes, children, pregnant women, senior citizens) all while developing a specialization in sport nutrition. Specifically, she has specialized in artistic sports as well as endurance sports for athletes from beginner to professionals. In addition she is a dynamic presenter, giving nutrition conferences to many different organizations.

  Claudine Larivière, PDt.
 
Claudine  holds a Bachelor of Human Nutrition from McGill University. Her specialties include endocrinology (diabetes type 1 and 2, metabolic syndrome, obesity, hypercholesterolemia), pediatrics, and weight loss. She also has an interest in sport nutrition. Claudine is known for her determination to reach her goals, as well as her social, accessible, dynamic and funny personality. She’s very passionate about her work and get involved all the way in projects.

Nicolas Violette, PDt. M.Sc. (candidate)

Nicolas specializes in sport nutrition focusing on team sports, particularly hockey. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in nutrition from Laval University and is currently completing a Master of Science in sports nutrition at the University of Montreal. After graduating from Laval, Nicolas worked at Santa Cabrini hospital in many areas of clinical nutrition: diabetes, dysphagia, cardiology, malnutrition and general medicine. With a sharp and creative mind he will stop at nothing to bring his clients to achieving their objectives. Nicolas knows the reality of sports, having played many team sports such as hockey, football and soccer. He specializes in the evaluation of patterns of hydration and the development of habits to maximize athletic performance and improve quality of life.

Mélanie Mantha, PDt.

 Mélanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the University of Montreal and a certificate in group fitness from the YMCA. Having played several sports at the recreational and competitive level (AAA soccer, ringette AA, basketball, Ultimate fresbee, etc..) she is passionate about nutrition and physical activity. This has led her to work with active people to improve their lifestyle or achieve weight loss as well as clients in clinical nutritional nutrition centers for the elderly (diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and obesity). She also shares her passion by teaching classes for Cardio Plein Air. Her clients and coworkers agree that she is a great listener, bring positive energy and perseveres in everything she does.
